Central Garden

"God Almighty first planted a garden. And indeed, it is the purest of human pleasures."
Francis Bacon, philosopher and Lord Chancellor of England, 1561 – 1626

Townhouses are positioned for maximum connection to the Central Garden.
Bella Terra's Central Garden is a lush, bountiful feast for the senses. Ponds and waterfalls highlight an artfully designed garden of trees, shrubs, foliage and flowers -- all connected by a private path system with multiple viewpoints and benches.

Each townhome is designed and positioned for maximum connection to the Central Garden. Fruits, vegetables and herbs will be woven throughout the ornamental plants in the Garden to provide the freshest of food -- nurturing body and spirit.

The sights, sounds and scents of this 500' x 120' garden will provide a feeling of serenity and peace -- a lovely centerpiece to the life of Bella Terra's residents.

Contained within the Central Garden is a Contemplative Grotto, offering complete privacy for reflection, meditation or quiet conversation. Surrounded on three sides by rock walls and earth, and with a columnar basalt wall shielding the entrance, the Grotto is out of the view of residents on their patios or walking on the paths along the Central Garden.

Water will flow from the Grotto’s back wall and into an upper basin, then drop into a lower basin and to ground-level where it will create a stream into the garden’s ponds.

A specially designed metal roof that compliments the townhome roofing will cover the majority of the Grotto, providing protection from the weather and a powerful visual addition to the garden. Low-level lighting will enable residents to enjoy the Grotto after dark while still maintaining the peaceful setting.
